We have started a new topic last week called “How to develop and maintain resiliency”. Being resilient is very important for our children because it helps them to think through challenging situations in life and follow through on finding a solution.
In the last two sessions, we have covered the following: 1) Concept of resiliency for teens/youths. 2) Different ways to show resiliency when facing challenges/odds. 3) Characteristics of someone who is resilient. 4) 5 dimensions of strength.
Watched a video of a teenager who demonstrates a high degree of resiliency and discussed the lessons we can learn from that video.
